Do you enjoy going to a fast food joint and getting a sandwich and FRIES?

Well you might be getting more than you bargained for.

It’s my understanding that, not once but TWICE the newly sliced potatoes are given a bath of hot OIL whose globules are forced into the potato by the cooking process.

Next sugar is added to the potatoes in the form of dextrose.

Finally when the cooking is done salt is sprinkled generously on the fries to give them that famous, good taste.

And there you have it, for a dollar or two you get a good (over)dose of fat, sugar and salt. (And you thought you were getting a nutritious meal, and a break from a chore)
